How to Play

Monster Haul is a pixel-art survival brawler where endless waves of creatures pour in from every side. Slimes, bats, ghosts, goblins, spiders and exploding bombers all close in on you, and your weapons fire on their own while you focus on movement and aim. Staying alive is all about positioning: keep moving, avoid being surrounded and steer the crowd into your line of fire. As you level up, you choose upgrades from a hand of cards, drawing from more than sixty weapons and boosts, from spinning boomerangs and crackling lightning to fire throwers, whirling blades and falling meteors. Stacking the right combination is what carries a run deep into the later stages, where tough elites and bosses appear. Three worlds are picked at random, so no two runs feel quite the same.

Controls

On desktop, move with WASD or the arrows, aim with the mouse and let weapons fire automatically. Press P or Esc to pause, M to mute and 1, 2 or 3 to pick upgrades. On mobile, use the left stick to move and the right stick to aim and fire, and tap a card to pick an upgrade.

Tips

1. Keep circling the edge of the crowd instead of standing still.
2. Choose upgrades that work together rather than many unrelated weapons.
3. Keep open space around you before elites and bosses arrive.
